Our story
In 2017 Brie & Banquet hit the Calgary catering scene with an abundant and wild style of event food not yet seen in Canada. Being Western Canada’s first grazing caterer and only Canada’s second, we offer unmatched experience, impeccable styling, and an unwavering commitment to providing the best local and luxury inclusions.
We’ve pioneered this style of food sharing and display, and forged a path for many to follow. Our client experience is always front of mind. As we grow, we are adapting and fine tuning our menus, shifting with the seasons, and with the needs of our beloved clients. We’ve partnered with local food crafters throughout our community to offer our clients the best that Alberta has to offer.
We provide beautiful, chic and delicious event food and beverage, specializing in micro to medium sized events with a focus on wine & cheese, and jaw-dropping visuals. With our self-serve, share-style minimizing on-site labour costs, we reserve our client’s budgets for procuring the finest inclusions. Quality, thoughtfully crafted and artful event food, offered in a unique and approachable way, both in price and serving style.

Brie & Banquet was a passion project that had been percolating in my mind for years, growing and flowing and finally coming together in December 2017 as Western Canada’s First Grazing Catering Co.
It’s a blending and sharing of beauty, balance and bites; pulling from my previous careers in art and interior design, holistic nutrition and private cooking.
Our intention is to make event food playful, pretty, interesting and interactive. Combining the highest quality, local, luxury ingredients with our wildly romantic styling. We’re a unique, rebellious, unconventional and unpretentious catering co. eliminating intimidation while also using lavish, local and artisanal ingredients in a wild, whimsical way.

If you want upscale, elegant and delicious food I would highly recommend Brie & Banquet. We got their lunch catering option, albeit it may be a bit expensive for some, these days what isn't? I found it worth it, the food was delicious and plenty for our guests. It was very well decorated with live flowers, everyone was raving about it. I would definitely consider them again for my next event.

Hi! Katie here! I’m the Founder & Creative Lead at Brie & Banquet. In December 2022 we celebrated 5 years in business and WOW has it been a wild ride! We’re so grateful for the support from our clients and our community! From monthly cheese subscriptions and some of the first Grazing Tables in Canada, to luxury cheese towers and a million charcuterie boxes, I’m so proud of what this little wild catering co. has accomplished in the past 5 years, and we have you all to thank for it!
B&B has been featured in many major publications, received catering + wedding industry awards and worked with SO many incredible creatives over the years. I have a lot of energy and big dreams!
This year I completed education and certification in cheese (yes! it’s a thing!), WSET2 wine certification and became certified as a French Wine Professional. I’m OBSESSED with cheese and absolutely fascinated with discovering perfect pairings, whether with wine, beer or other food pairings. Wine and cheese is such a dynamic, mysterious, and exciting world and I love to share my knowledge and these experiences with others.
